I love both of these. They are very creepy, and they have a sort of dark theatre vibe to them. The typeface is also very spooky, and the red drop characters behind the white ones add a lot to the feel.
The diagonal in the headline makes complete sense to me in the second poster, but in the first, I think it is unnecessary. If the headline were horizontal, or even angled the other way it might be nice.
Also, in illustrator there is the option to "free transform" type. You could use this to have the headline remain slanted, while the individual letterforms stay on a vertical axis(eliminating awkward negative space on the left and right of the words).
