I like this version better mainly because of the color & squares in the background. It gives it a feel of racing. Also your sit is working better with the lines, I'm asuming the length of the line is the amount of time you sat.
I'm not sure if you need the sit(s) to have a border around them, I think it could work with it all being on the same plane that way the buttons would stand out more as being 3D.
